Y268 Carved Confederate .54 Gardner Bullet
Description: Here is a nice .54 Confederate Gardner bullet that was pounded into a fishing sinker. This was recovered about two years ago near the Route 51 crossing on the creek. You can clearly see the two rings on the bottom. This one is tapered and pounded into a rectangle. This area of the Opequon creek headed towards Middleway was well used by both sides during the war. This is a very nice section of the stream and you can just imagine troops fishing in the creek.
Measures: L 1.52"
Recovered: Opequon Creek Route 51 Area
