Hello and Welcome to American Civil War Relics & Military Antiques

We were formally known as Packhorse Ford Relics but decided to change the name of the business while we restructured the new site.

We are a full time relic dealer servicing the Antietam and surrounding areas. The majority of our dug relics come from Jefferson County West Virginia, Clarke County Virginia, and Washington & Frederick Counties of Maryland. We live and operate out of a historically rich area. There were a lot of troop movements through the area during the Antietam, Gettysburg, and Valley Campaigns. While we mostly concentrate on items from the American Civil War, we also carry items from the Indian Wars, Spanish American War, World War One, and World War Two. If there is something in particular please let us know and we will try to find it for you.

We are now carrying battlefield recovered relics from World War I and II!

Shipping & Insurance is NOT included in the price of an item. It is extra!

Please be sure to include the item number when placing an order to avoid any confusion.

Payment

We take the following credit cards: Visa, Discover, American Express, and MasterCard.

Personal Checks, Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, and Pay Pal are accepted.  Pay Pal is not to be used for the purchase of antique firearms.

Items paid for with a credit card or Pay Pal will  NOT be discounted.

Please do not send cash for items!

West Virginia residents: Please add 6% to total for tax!

Payment MUST be received within 7 days after the item is ordered. If payment is not received within 7 days the item will immediately be relisted.

Personal checks must clear the bank (up to 10 days) before the item is shipped. If paying with a money order or bank check the item will be shipped the next day.

Discounts

We will on occasion give discounts on high dollar purchases or bulk deals that total over $1,000.00.

We don't give discounts on single items or items that are in the new items section. Occasionally we will discount items that have been sitting for a lengthy amount of time.

We do not give discounts on items paid for with a credit card or when using Pay Pal. We also DON"T charge a service fee for using these services like some dealers do.       

Shipping

All items will be shipped using USPS with delivery confirmation and insurance unless otherwise requested.

Insurance and shipping prices will be added to the total cost of the items sold. Insurance is recommended on all items. If insurance is not directly asked for and purchased, I will not be held responsible for any damage or loss of the item. Any item(s) which amount to or over $100.00 MUST be insured for the total amount of the items purchase price. I do not charge any handling or carrying fees. All items which I sell will be carefully packaged to insure a safe and sound delivery. All items paid for using Pay Pal must be insured for the full amount.

Shipping on small items is typically $4.50 with delivery confirmation (insurance not included)

There is a minimum shipping charge of $8.00 for all large items. Shipping may cost more or less depending on insurance.

Insurance is recommended on all purchases over $100.00. 

Insurance is available staring at $2.50 for $100.00 worth. It is $1.00 for every $100.00 worth after that. (Ex. $300.00 worth of insurance costs $4.50.)

West Coast Shipping

Shipping to the West coast is a little more due to the fact that the USPS charges by region. If we can fit it into a small flat rate box shipping will be $6.00 + insurance. Larger items will be shipped via medium flat rate box for $12.00 + insurance. If a large flat rate box is needed the cost will be $20.00 + insurance.

Shipping price for guns and swords is as follows:

Cost to ship Swords, Sabers, and Carbines $28.00 with insurance included.

Cost to ship longarms is $38.00 with insurance included

This covers the cost of the boxes and packing material.

International Shipping

We do offer international shipping. Orders over $75.00 must go registered mail by USPS. Smaller orders must make use of flat rate priority boxes.

I only ship three days a week. Monday/Wednesday/Friday

Shipping Small Arms Ammunition/Inert Ordnance

All live small arms ammunition must be shipped UPS ground. No Exceptions!

American Civil War Relics Lifetime Guarantee

All items that are offered by American Military Antiques are 100% guaranteed authentic and as described for the LIFETIME of the item. If for any reason you would like to return an item, you may return the unaltered item within 5 days of when the item is shipped for a full refund minus the shipping and credit/Pay Pal processing costs if applicable.

Appraisals

We regret that we cannot do any appraisals via the internet/email. We must have the item in our possession in order to research, takes notes, and photograph the item. There is just too much to overlook in pictures alone. Please do not ship us items to be appraised without prior notice!

All appraisals fees will be based on the item or collection being assessed.

Letters of Authenticity

We will gladly write a letter of authenticity for any item over $100.00 at no additional cost. We do however charge a $5.00 fee for letters written on items that sell for $99.00 or less

 All of our items are 100% guaranteed for life!

Returns

If for any reason you would like to return an item, you may return the unaltered item within 5 days of when the item is shipped for a full refund minus the shipping and credit processing costs if applicable. ALL returned items are to be insured for the full amount, and arrive in the EXACT condition as when shipped to receive a refund. If returned items are NOT insured and damage or loss has occurred during shipping, then I will nullify the return. Items which are on layaway are non returnable. There is a 10% restock fee on all returned items.

Layaway

Items on Layaway will not be discounted.

Layaway is available on purchases over $300.00 with 1/3 down payment and the remainder due within 60 days. The down payment must be received within 7 days after the order is made. The 60 day layaway period starts on the date that the particular items are ordered. The item will be held until it is fully paid for. Once the items have been fully paid for they will be shipped within one business day. If full payment is not received within the 60 days (unless other arrangements are made), the item(s) will be relisted and all monies will be forfeited.  There are no refunds on items in layaway.

Longer layaway terms are available based on an interest scale.
